Cant figure out how to customize

I LOVE the hold the space bar to give cursor! Brilliant!

But, I cannot figure out how do do all the customizing mentioned in their description. There is a paint button that allows me to choose from 7 predetermined colors, but no customization. No auto-punctuation and Id love to see a swipe option too!
